Contest Semi-finalists

Obviously I didn't make it in to the Wacom Bring Your Vision to Life contest.

But that's not the reason I'm hating on the semi-finalist entries. I think that so many of them are way too cliche and blatant: angel vs demon, dark vs light...

How about some subtlety? Two of the judging criteria was originality and creativity. Angel vs demon is not original! What were the judges thinking? Where's the sophistication?

The entries were indeed very well done, no doubt about it, but that falls under technical skill.

Alas, beauty is only skin deep ;)

Some of them were original, but I completely agree with you. What's more is that you can find them all on the first three pages when they are sorted by popularity. Sad really!

Yeah, I totally feel you... I dunno if can call mine that original, I used the theme of Lucifer falling from the skies, being both good and evil at a time, but I didn't get in... And I totally don't think it lacks technique, but hey, it's a bit like For Us By Us, this contest, don't you think? What do you think, does my drawing totally lack creativity?
